AWE has currently more than 20 meteorological measurement masts and a LIDAR in operation, ranging from 40 - 200 meters in height.

AWE has measured wind on more than 50 sites from Northern Sweden to Taiwan including Poland, Ireland, Scotland, England, Egypt, Korea, Hawaii, Tuvalu, Rarotonga, USA, Norway and Bosnia.

Installation of a 100 m mast in Germany is in the final planning

AWE was the first developer in the market to successfully use the WindCube LIDAR (laser) to measure wind. This is taking place on an offshore location in Norway and has been ongoing for about 2,5 years.

In Texas, USA, AWE operates masts with heights of 100 to 140 meters.

AWE has measured wind on Taiwan's two tallest dedicated wind measuring masts (50 and 60 m) for the National Research Institute, ITRI and Taipower.

AWE has measured wind for United Nations (UNDP) in the South Pacific on small and remote Islands.
